The first 3 weeks went all right. At times I felt like I was being too hard on myself, others too easy. I’ve been doing great compared to how much I was working out before. I finally feel like I am getting back on track and sticking to it. I was really hoping to make week 4 awesome and to thoroughly stick to my plan. But, that didn’t happen.
I got thrown off when I took my first gym cardio class last Tuesday night because I ended up working out for 90 minutes and I had the Pedal NYC class on Wednesday night, so I decided to move my Tempo run to another day because I was exhausted.
I got my tempo run in on Saturday and was hoping to get in my scheduled 10 yesterday, but I woke up and got smacked in the face with a bad cold. I took yesterday and today off, from work also and hopefully tomorrow morning I can wake up and pound out 10 miles. I got a lot of rest today and I plan to sleep early tonight, so hopefully I squeeze in a nice long run before work tomorrow.
Counting this week, I still have a full 7 weeks before the race. Time to get my mileage and speed up. I REALLY WANT TO PR!!!!
