The Most Satisfying Run

Today I ran and it was great! I set out for a simple 3 miles with a positive attitude and a lot of determination. I have never been more excited to see that it was only 73° outside. It has been in the high 80′s and low 90′s for the past week around here and it’s nice to finally catch a break. I don’t think it’s going to last long though. It’s going to be SUPER hot again this weekend.

Anyway, back to my run. I have been dying to run for so long and it was nice to finally get out there. Since all of my clothes are at Joe’s house in Boston, I literally had to scrounge up some running clothes from the depths of my closet just so I would have something to wear. The run was good, the first mile was a little slow and a little tough, but after that I warmed up quickly.

  • Mile 1: 10:07
  • Mile 2: 9:35
  • Mile 3: 9:39

Total: 29:23

My foot felt great the first 2 miles, the last mile I could feel something, it wasn’t exactly pain or soreness, but I could feel it. I don’t know if that makes sense, but all I know is it felt way better than last week when I tried to run. I’m starting out slow, but I need to also keep it steady because I am starting my marathon training in 2 1/2 weeks so I have to work on getting my mileage back up.

I feel like I am back and that makes me really happy. I haven’t felt this yearning to run in a such a long time!
